Eastern Wei

During the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, Gao Huan, who is said to have been of Wang Joseonbi (Senpi), a tribe formed when the Northern Wei Dynasty split off from the Northern Dynasty, installed Emperor Xiaojing and took control of the Northern Wei Dynasty. He moved the capital to Ye and called the Dynasty Eastern Wei. He fought against the Western Wei Dynasty, which had taken control under Yuwen Tai, but was killed in battle. His son Gao Yang later became independent and called the Dynasty Northern Qi.

南北朝時代，北朝の北魏が分裂してできた王朝
鮮卑 (せんぴ) の出身といわれる高歓 (こうかん) が孝静帝を立てて北魏の実権を握り，鄴 (ぎよう) に都を移して東魏と称した。宇文泰 (うぶんたい) が実権を握った西魏と争ったが戦死し，のち子の高洋が自立して北斉 (ほくせい) を称した。
