〘名〙① 後方が前方より高く、纓(えい)が左右に張った古代中国の冠の形を取り入れたかぶりもの。能装束の冠としては、大きな巾子(こじ)と、左右に張り出した朴葉形の翼が特色。主に中国を舞台とする「皇帝」「咸陽宮」などの曲や、中国人に扮する「白楽天」のワキなどに用いられる。舞楽装束の冠としては、左右に大きく張り出した平纓(ひらえい)を特色とする。左方の「蘇莫者(そまくしゃ)」の太子、右方の「胡徳楽」の勧盃、「新靺鞨(しんまか)」などに用いられる。とうかむり。〔歌儛品目(1818‐22頃)〕② =とうかん(唐冠)②
