Toi [town] - Toi
A former town in Kameda County, Hokkaido. Located in the southeastern part of the Kameda Peninsula, fishing villages have developed on the coast facing the Tsugaru Strait, and the fishing industry is prosperous, including squid, kelp, and flatfish. In recent years, however, there has been a shift to fishing that creates and grows fish, such as kelp farming and intermediate cultivation of abalone. There is a lighthouse at Cape Shiokubi. In December 2004, it was incorporated into Hakodate City along with Esan Town, Tonohokke Village, and Minamikayabe Town in Kameda County. 53.04 km2 . 3,901 people (2003).

北海道亀田郡の旧町。亀田半島南東部にあり,津軽海峡に面する海岸に漁業集落が発達,イカ,コンブ,カレイなどの漁獲が盛んであるが,近年ではコンブの養殖,アワビの中間育成など,つくり育てる漁業への転換がなされている。汐首(しおくび)岬に灯台がある。2004年12月亀田郡恵山町,椴法華村,茅部郡南茅部町と函館市へ編入。53.04km2。3901人(2003)。
