Natural gasoline

Japanese: 天然ガソリン - てんねんがそりん（英語表記）natural gasoline

Also called NGL (short for natural gas liquid). Gasoline extracted from wet gas (gas containing relatively large molecular weight hydrocarbons) from natural gas or oil wells. There are two methods for extracting it from wet gas: pressurizing _it to liquefy it, or absorbing it into gasoline. The main components are light gasoline such as butane _C4H10 , pentane _C5H12 , _and hexane _C6H14 . It is used as gasoline for automobiles and as a _raw material for the petrochemical industry.

NGL(natural gas liquidの略)ともいう。天然ガス井，または石油井から出る湿性ガス(比較的分子量の大きい炭化水素を含むガス)から採取されるガソリンをいう。湿性ガスからの採取法には加圧して液化させる方法とガソリンに吸収させる方法とがある。主成分はブタンC₄H₁₀，ペンタンC₅H₁₂，ヘキサンC₆H₁₄などの軽質ガソリンである。自動車用ガソリン，石油化学工業原料などとしての用途がある。
