Japanese: テルル酸 - テルルさん（英語表記）telluric acid

This usually refers to orthotelluric acid, H ₆ TeO _6. Another salt, metatelluric acid, H ₂ TeO _4, is known but has not been isolated.
[Production method]
Tellurium or tellurium dioxide is oxidized with a mixture of nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, and a small amount of chloric acid, or with nitric acid and potassium permanganate. It can also be obtained by oxidation with 30% hydrogen peroxide or boiling nitric acid containing a small amount of chromium(VI) oxide, _CrO3 . After careful evaporation, it is obtained as colorless crystals.

［製法］
　テルルまたは二酸化テルルを，硝酸と塩酸および少量の塩素酸の混合物，あるいは硝酸と過マンガン酸カリウムで酸化する。30％過酸化水素水，または少量の酸化クロム(VI) CrO₃を含む沸騰硝酸で酸化しても得られる。注意深く蒸発すると無色の結晶として得られる。
