Tachibana, who dropped out of the First High School in 1915 and ran the "Kyoudai Mura Farm" on his own land near his hometown, founded the Aikyokai on November 23, 1929, saying, "Autumn has come when we must risk our lives to fight for the national transformation of all of Japan." In the midst of the rural depression at the time, he preached "patriotism" and held lectures throughout Ibaraki Prefecture, and by May 1932, the group had 29 branches and 400 members. …

...From 1952, he gave lectures in the prefecture to enlighten rural youth, and learned about the reality of rural areas suffering from chronic recession. He began to advocate the salvation of rural areas and even the country through "solidarity among those who cultivate the land together." In 1954, he formed the Aikyokai Association with middle-ranking young people who resonated with him, in order to enlighten and put it into practice. In 1956, as part of the association's activities, he established the Aikyojuku School to train conscious "hardworking people who live on the good and righteous soil of Japan," and provided group education based on "landism, brotherhood, and laborism." ...
