Optical Stabilizer. The name of Sigma's lens-shift type image stabilization mechanism. Two sensors installed inside the lens detect up, down, left and right shaking and move parts of the optical system depending on the amount of shaking. Sigma offers two types of image stabilization modes to accommodate various shooting scenes. "Image Stabilization Mode 1" detects both up, down and left and right shaking and corrects camera shake, making it suitable for landscapes and snapshots. On the other hand, "Image Stabilization Mode 2" detects only up and down shaking and is effective for tracking moving subjects (panning). It is written as "APO 80-400mmF4.5-5.6 EX DG OS", but there are still few lenses that are equipped with it (currently only one lens, the APO 80-400mmF4.5-5.6 EX DG OS, is equipped with OS).OSSource: CameramanWeb Cameraman Photo Terminology Dictionary Information |
Optical Stabilizer。
