Kabuki dance. Nagauta. Lyrics by Masuyama Kinpachi, music by Kineya Shojiro I, choreography by Nishikawa Senzo II. This is one of the seven transformation dances called "Iris Flower Seven Layers of Dyed Clothes" that was performed by Iwai Hanshiro IV at the Kawarasakiza Theater in Edo in April 1792 (Kansei 4). It is a work that depicts the feelings of a precocious town girl of the Edo period, holding a scroll on her way home from temple school. It uses many lyrics and music from "Musume Dojoji".
