〘Noun〙 Buddhist term. ① (translation of ekakṣara-uṣṇīṣacakra) One of the Five Crowned Buddhas, personifying one character of the mantra ( boron , Sanskrit bhrūṃ) that Mahavairocana preached when he entered the supreme samadhi. The statue sits in a cross -lotus position with his hands making mudras, and the one with a golden wheel placed on the mudras is called Shaka's Golden Wheel, while the one wearing the Five Wisdom Treasures Crown is called Mahavairocana. One-character Golden Wheel Buddha. One-character crowned wheel. ※Asabakusho (around 1242-81), 56 "Holding _two golden wheels, _one following _{the one} -character _mantra , this _one is _all _one character golden wheel _. 〘名〙仏語。① (ekakṣara-uṣṇīṣacakra の訳) 大日如来が最勝の三昧にはいって説いた真言である（勃嚕唵(ぼろん)、梵語 bhrūṃ）の一字を人格化した五仏頂尊の一つ。その像は結跏趺坐(けっかふざ)して手に印を結ぶが、その印上に金輪をおくものを釈迦金輪、五智宝冠を頂くものを大日金輪という。一字金輪仏。一字頂輪。※阿娑縛抄（1242‐81頃）五六「持_二金輪_一随_二一字真言_一、具_二此二_一云_二一字金輪_一也」② 「いちじきんりんのほう（一字金輪法）」の略。※増鏡（1368‐76頃）一五「一字きんりんは浄経僧正、如法尊勝は桓守僧正」
