A historian from the second half of the 1st century BCE. Dates of birth and death unknown. A Greek from Sicily. Around 60-30 BCE, he wrote 40 volumes of ancient world history entitled "Historical Series." This is a chronological account of the history of the Orient, from the ancient history of the Orient to Caesar's conquest of Gaul, and currently volumes 1-5 and 11-20 are complete, with only fragments of the others remaining. It is valuable in that it includes various historical materials that have been lost today, but the content is commonplace and he is not highly regarded as a historian.
