...Adults and larvae live under fallen leaves, on dead trees, under the bark, and on mushrooms that grow on dead trees. The ant moth Anthicus floralis is distributed widely throughout the world and is known to be found in hay, compost, and dried fruits. The feeding habits of many of the larvae are unclear, but it is thought that many of them prey on other insects, such as A. marseuli , which is found under the bark of dead pine trees.
