Japanese: 津田[町] - つだ

A former town in Okawa County facing Tsuda Bay in eastern Kagawa Prefecture. The main settlement is at the mouth of the Tsuda River, and is served by the Takamatsu Expressway and Takatoku Line. The town produces rice, potatoes, and tobacco leaves, and dairy farming is also thriving. Coastal fishing, aquaculture, and button manufacturing are also carried out. Tsuda no Matsubara, a scenic coastal area, is also a swimming beach. In April 2002, the town merged with Okawa Town, Shido Town, Samukawa Town, and Nagao Town to form Sanuki City. 13.69 ^km2 . Population 8,370 (2000).

香川県東部，津田湾に面する大川郡の旧町。主集落は津田川河口部にあり，高徳線，高松自動車道が通じる。米，ジャガイモ，葉タバコを産し，酪農も盛ん。沿岸漁業，養殖漁業，ボタン製造も行われる。海岸の景勝津田の松原は海水浴場でもある。2002年４月，大川町，志度町，寒川町，長尾町と合併してさぬき市となる。13.69km²。8370人（2000）。
