A town in Kabato County, Hokkaido. The Sassho Line runs through the town. The northern part is mountainous, and rice is produced in the lowlands along the Ishikari River in the southeast. Flowers, fruit trees, and vegetables are also cultivated. The town's name comes from Tsukigata Kiyoshi, the first warden of the Kabato Penal Colony, who was located here, and his contributions to the development of the area. 150.40 km2 . 4,859 people (2010).
