There are cases where the role is a child, and cases where the role is supposed to be played by an adult. An example of the former is Hanawaka in "Mochizuki, " and an example of the latter is Yoshitsune in "Funabenkei." ④ A laborer employed by a master in farming, mountain, or fishing villages, often according to the master-subordinate system, which is a status-based relationship.
