Simchon-ri Archaeological Site - Chinchon-ri Archaeological Site (English name)

Japanese: 沈村里遺跡 - ちんそんりいせき（英語表記）Simch‘onni‐yujŏk

A burial site from the Plain Pottery (Bronze Age) period in Simchon-ri, Hwangju-gun, North Hwanghae Province, Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The site is located on the hills and plains on the northwest side of Jeongbangsan Mountain between Hwangju and Sariwon, and it was known that several to several dozen dolmens were distributed in clusters. An academic survey was conducted in 1958 and 1959, and the remains of four pit dwellings and a group of 29 dolmens were excavated. Of these, three pit dwellings were excavated on the plains east of Simchon Middle School, all of which are rectangular in plan.

朝鮮民主主義人民共和国，黄海北道黄州郡沈村里にある無文土器(青銅器)時代の墳墓遺跡。遺跡は黄州と沙里院の間にある正方山の北西側の丘陵地から平野にわたって立地し，数基から数十基の支石墓群が集中的に分布することが知られていたが，1958,59年に学術調査が実施され，4基の竪穴式住居跡と29基の支石墓群が発掘された。そのうち，沈村中学校東側の平地で調査された竪穴式住居跡は3基で，いずれも平面が長方形である。
