A Chinese painter from the mid-Ming dynasty. Born in Xiangfu (Kaifeng), Henan Province. His pen name was Tianchi and his pen name was Heishan. He learned figure painting from the Zhejiang school painter Wu Wei and established a style of painting that featured wild brush and ink expression. Although he was attacked by the literati, his positive desire for expression should be appreciated. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
