〘Noun〙① One of the styles of ancient documents. An abbreviation of kokushi chosen. This style emerged from the mid-Heian period with the introduction of the kokushi remote appointment system, and is a document issued by the shu or suke, who were in Kyoto, to the kokuga 's administrative office.
