…In 1929, he wrote his first song, “Camino del indio”. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, he gradually gained recognition as a poet and musician, and around 1950, he released “Luna tucumana”, “Los ejes de mi carreta”, and other songs. With his left-handed guitar playing and his deep, sophisticated singing, he became a leading figure in the world of folklore (folk music based on folk songs). He also published excellent books and poetry such as “Cerro Bayo” (1946), “Indian Melody” (1947), and the autobiographical “Song of the Wind” (1965), and even tried his hand at film production, thereby praising the Argentine national spirit and the soul of the children of nature who live on the soil in many ways. …
