[Born] 1435 [died] August 23, 1507. Valenciennes. French chronicler and poet. He served the Burgundian court and became the chronicler of Charles the Bold. He succeeded Chastellan, but was also a leading theorist of the great rhyming school and left behind poems of acrobatic skill. His works include Art de rhétorique (1493) and Merveilleuses Avenues en notre Temps (1510).
