Official Reagents - Kanpuushiyaku

...Although there are not many types, a group of reagents called "ultra-high purity reagents" are commercially available under the trade names Spurapur (E. Merck, West Germany) and Ultrex (JT Baker, USA). The amount of trace impurities is far greater than that of JIS special-grade reagents, and they are even more pure than standard reagents. Reagents such as ethyl alcohol, sodium chloride, explosives stability test reagents, and volumetric analysis standard reagents have standards for "official-sealed reagents" that are compulsorily sealed by the state. Reagents with a purity of grade 1 or higher have purity test data that meets the standards clearly stated on the label, including the minimum pure content, the upper limit of impurity content, solubility, ash content, specific gravity, boiling point, melting point, etc.
