〘Noun〙 (Also "chubon". Means a book whose size is between a yomihon (a book written on half-sized paper ) and a sharebon (a small book) .) One of the names for books in the Edo period. A book the size of a Mino paper folded in four. Also, since kakeihon (comic books) and ninjyohon (human interest books) were published in this size, it is also used as an alternative name for kakeihon (comic books) and ninjyohon (human interest books). Nakahonmono (a medium-sized book). *Kakehon - Hachishonin (1820-49) Shikami "Like the chiuhon (medium-sized book) called Wagonin (a book written by Koijo) ."
