Shurisuke Ohno - Shurisuke Ohno

...A military commander in the Azuchi-Momoyama and early Edo periods. Shuri-no-jo, Junior Fifth Rank. Son of Yodo-dono's wet nurse, Okurakyo-no-tsubone. Served Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and fought in Nagoya, Hizen, during the Bunroku Invasion. In 1599 (Keicho 4), he was exiled to Shimousa on suspicion of assassinating Tokugawa Ieyasu, but after the Battle of Sekigahara, he served Hideyori as a close aide, and after Katagiri Katsumoto and others withdrew from the castle, he represented the Toyotomi clan in negotiating the peace negotiations for the Winter Siege of Osaka. Along with his younger brother Harufusa, he is said to have been a supporter of the war. He died alongside Hideyori in the Summer Siege. [Kato Mariko]...

…安土桃山･江戸初期の武将。従五位下修理亮。淀君の乳母大蔵卿局の子。豊臣秀吉に仕え，文禄の役では肥前名護屋に出陣した。1599年(慶長4)，徳川家康暗殺の疑いを受けて下総に流されたが，関ヶ原の戦の後，側近として秀頼に仕え，片桐且元らの退城後は豊臣氏の代表として大坂冬の陣の講和等に当たった。弟治房とともに主戦派と言われている。夏の陣で秀頼に殉死。【加藤 真理子】…
