A town in the Val-de-Marne department in northern France. A suburban city 7 km south of Paris. Population 3,000 (1975). It has a vast wholesale market covering an area of 220 hectares, which supplies food to the 12 million people living in the greater Paris area. This market was formerly located in the Les Halles district of Paris, and was completely relocated there in 1969. The town is well connected by public transport, bordering the Southern Expressway, Route 7, Route 186, and Orly Airport, and also having a railway siding. フランス北部,バル・ド・マルヌ県の町。パリ市の南方7kmにある近郊都市。人口3000(1975)。220haの敷地をもつ広大な卸売市場があり,パリ大都市圏に生活する約1200万人の食料を供給している。これは,かつてパリ市内のレ・アル地区にあった中央卸売市場が,1969年に全面移転してきたものである。南部高速道路,国道7号線,国道186号線,オルリー空港に接し,また鉄道の引込線をもつなど,交通の便に恵まれている。
