A small evergreen perennial plant of the Apiaceae family. The slender stems crawl along the ground, and fibrous roots grow from each node to attach to the ground. The leaves are alternate, with 2-3 cm long stalks that grow upward. The leaves are round, about 1 cm in diameter, with shallow lobes at the edges, and the part where the stalk is attached is heart-shaped. The leaf surface has a bright luster. From summer to autumn, thin inflorescences grow one by one from the leaf axils, and at the tip, several small flowers are gathered in an umbel. Each flower is about 1 mm in diameter, white with five petals, sometimes tinged greenish purple. It is said that applying this leaf to a wound will help stop the bleeding.
