Japanese: 短資会社 - たんしがいしゃ（英語表記）call loan dealer

Legally, it is a money lending business regulated by the Law on the Regulation of Acceptance of Contributions, Deposits, and Interest Rates, etc. It acts as an intermediary between transactions in the call market and the bill trading market (→tanshi market). Formerly known as call brokers. Some tanshi companies also act as foreign exchange brokers, acting as intermediaries in the foreign exchange market. Tanshi companies have current accounts at the Bank of Japan, and use Bank of Japan checks to transfer funds for call transactions, bill trading, etc.

法制上は出資の受入れ，預り金及び金利等の取締りに関する法律によって規制される貸金業。コール市場と手形売買市場（→短資市場）において取り引きの仲介を行なう。かつてコールブローカーと呼ばれた。短資会社のなかには外国為替市場の仲介を兼ねる為替ブローカーがある。短資会社は日本銀行に当座預金口座をもち，コール取引や手形売買取引などの資金の受け渡しを日銀小切手で行なっている。
