A young chamber orchestra formed in 1970. The name of the orchestra was chosen with the consent of Madame Berg, and the main repertoire is works by the so-called Second Viennese School of the first half of the 20th century, such as Schoenberg, Webern, and Berg. Their performances are calm and emotional, and evoke the traditional sound of Vienna. [Minoru Nishihara] Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
