Qazān Khān (English spelling)

Japanese: カザン・ハーン国 - カザンハーンこく(英語表記)Qazān Khān
Qazān Khān (English spelling)
A successor state to the Kipchak Khanate, it was founded in 1437 by Ulugh Muḥammed (reigned 1437-45), a descendant of Genghis Khan, in the middle Volga region. It was ruled from 1437 to 1552. In Turkish it is called Kazan Han. Its name comes from the fact that Kazan was its capital from 1445 onwards. Its inhabitants were mainly Turkish Bulgars and Finno-Ugric peoples, but overall Turkish-Islamic culture was dominant.
