The trunk can reach a height of 25 m and a diameter of 1-1.5 m, and the leaves are even-pinnate and compound, measuring 10-15 cm in length. In April and May, it produces pale yellow flowers in racemes. The pods are long and thin and ripen to a dark brown in autumn and winter.
