Domestication - domestication

Domestication - domestication
Domestication is the process by which humans control the reproduction of animals and strengthen that control. The English term domestication is also used to refer to plants, in which case it is translated as "cultivation" or "crop-ification." From the above definition, domestication can be said to be the process by which the natural selection imposed on animals is replaced by artificial selection, and it can also be described as the process by which animals, which were merely resources provided by nature, are transformed into capital whose reproduction can be artificially controlled.
