Japanese: 相模湖[町] - さがみこ

A former town in Tsukui County in northwest Kanagawa Prefecture. The Sagami River flows east through the center of the town, and Lake Sagami is located here. The main settlement, Yose, on the north shore of Lake Sagami developed as a post station on the Koshu Kaido road, and the Chuo Main Line passes through the town, and the Sagamiko Interchange on the Chuo Expressway is located here. Most of the area is mountainous, and forestry, dairy farming, and sericulture are carried out here. In March 2006, it was incorporated into Tsukui Town, Tsukui County, and Sagamihara City. 31.59 ^km2 . 9,823 people (2003).

神奈川県北西部，津久井郡の旧町。中部を相模川が東流し，相模湖がある。相模湖北岸の主集落与瀬(よせ)は甲州街道の宿駅として発達，中央本線が通じ，中央自動車道の相模湖インターチェンジがある。大部分が山地で林業，酪農，養蚕が行われる。2006年３月津久井郡津久井町と相模原市へ編入。31.59km²。9823人（2003）。
