Dustchute - Dustchute (English spelling)

A device that drops waste down a vertical tube and accumulates it at the bottom. The vertical tube is made of concrete, steel, or stainless steel pipes with a diameter of 30 to 60 centimeters. Some types of waste inlet have a limited capacity for one inlet. Auxiliary equipment includes a waste level detector, ventilation system, automatic fire extinguisher, and cleaning/disinfection system. A waste storage tank is installed at the bottom of the tube, and some types connect to an incinerator and some load waste onto a dump truck. There are also types that connect to a vacuum horizontal transport pipe. The inlet must be airtight when closed, and when open, an internal shutoff plate must close to prevent air from escaping from the tube.

ごみを垂直な筒によって落下させ、その下部にためる装置。垂直筒には直径30～60センチメートルのコンクリート、鋼、ステンレスの管が用いられる。ごみ投入口には1回の投入容積が限られるタイプがある。付属装置として、ごみレベル検知装置、換気装置、自動消火器、洗浄・消毒装置がある。筒の下部にはごみ貯蔵庫が設けられ、焼却炉に連絡するタイプやダンプカーへ積み込むタイプがある。また真空横引輸送管に接続するタイプもある。投入口には、閉じたとき気密度が高く、開いたときは内部の遮断板が閉じて筒内の空気が流出しないような構造が必要である。
