Primates, Cercopithecidae. Also known as the white-spotted langur. Body length 48-69cm, tail length 69-80cm. Body color is gray on the back and shoulders, light gray on the head, grayish white on the underside, and white around the eyes. They live in small groups of 6-20 individuals, mainly in trees, and feed on buds and flowers. Their stomach is large and divided into several chambers. Some Luton species have a crest on their head, while others do not. This species does not have a crest. It is relatively difficult to raise. It lives in the tropical rainforests and dry forests of the Malay Peninsula.

霊長目オナガザル科。一名シロマブタザル。体長 48～69cm，尾長 69～80cm。体色は，背や肩は灰色，頭部は淡い灰色，腹面は灰白色で，眼の周囲が白い。6～20頭の小群をなしておもに樹上で生活し，木の芽，花などを食べる。胃は大きく，数室に分れている。ルトンの仲間には頭部に冠毛をもつものともたないものがあるが，本種は冠毛をもたない。飼育は比較的困難。マレー半島の熱帯雨林や乾燥した林にすむ。
