Its founder was Takayasu Chosuke, a native of Takayasu, Kawachi (one theory is that Takayasu Yohachiro, Chosuke's son and adopted son of Kongo Matabei Yasusue, the 10th supporting actor of the Kongo school). ② A school of otsuzumi ( large drum ) performers in Noh. Its founder was Takayasu Yoemon Dozen, who is said to have learned otsuzumi from Kanze Yasaburo Mototomo, the son of Kanze Kojiro Nobumitsu, in the late Muromachi period. 〘名〙① 能のワキ方の一派。河内高安の人、高安長助(一説には、長助の子で金剛流ワキ方一〇世金剛又兵衛康季の養子となった高安与八郎)を祖とする。② 能の囃子(はやし)方の大鼓(おおつづみ)の一派。室町末期、観世小次郎信光の子、観世彌三郎元供に大鼓を学んだと伝えられる、高安与右衛門道善を祖とする。
