Taupo [Lake] - Taupo
Located almost in the center of New Zealand's North Island, Lake Biwa is the largest lake in the country. The lake is surrounded by beautiful scenery and has hot springs, making it a popular tourist destination along with Lake Rotorua to the north. Its area is 616 km2 and its deepest point is 164 m.
