Daimyoji Temple

Japanese: 大明寺 - だいめいじ

Located on the central peak of Shugang in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China, this is Yangzhou's most famous temple, where the monk Ganjin lived. The temple's main gate enshrines the Four Heavenly Kings, Maitreya Buddha, and Idaten, and follows a style common to Chinese Zen temples. Behind the east side of the Daibutsuden Hall in the temple grounds is Seikkūkaku, the interior of which is a display room for materials related to Ganjin, and is decorated with a wooden statue of Ganjin (a replica of a Japanese national treasure) and a model of a freight ship from Ganjin's time. There is also the Ganjin Academy. The memorial hall and tower have been restored based on those designed by Ganjin at Toshodaiji Temple in Nara.

中国の江蘇(こうそ)省揚州市、蜀崗(しょくこう)の中峰にある、鑑真(がんじん)和尚が居住した揚州随一の寺。寺の正門には四大天王や弥勒仏、韋駄天が祀られ、中国の禅寺によくある様式に沿っている。境内の大雄宝殿の東側後方には晴空閣があり、内部は鑑真和尚に関する資料陳列室になっていて、鑑真和尚の木像（日本の国宝のレプリカ）と鑑真和尚の時代の渡航船の模型などが飾られている。また、鑑真学院もある。紀念堂や塔楼は鑑真和尚が奈良の唐招提寺で設計したものを模して復元している。
