A book written by Tarui Tokichi. This book was originally written in Japanese in 1885, but the manuscript was lost due to his involvement in the Osaka Incident, so it was rewritten in classical Chinese and published in 1893. The author's name on the first edition was Morimoto Tokichi. The gist of the book was "to unite Japan and Korea into one nation," because Japan, which values harmony, and Korea, which values benevolence, have a close relationship. The method to achieve this was an equal union, in which "each nation's government of autonomy and self-governance should be brought back to equality." Tarui also advocated union with China, but did not consider union itself. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
