Daitai-ro - Daitai-ro

Japanese: 大対盧 - だいたいろ

One of the highest government offices in ancient Korean Goguryeo. Daedaeru was established in the mid-6th century. Its predecessor, Taeru, was the second-rank official position after Sangga, an official position in the 2nd century, and was appointed by the heads of the five provinces (five clans and five departments). Daedaeru was not an official position appointed by the Goguryeo king, but was held by those with the most influence. The Daedaeru was at the top of the aristocratic alliance, managing the aristocratic council and overseeing all national affairs. The term of office was three years, but the position could be reappointed. However, if the aristocrats could not reach an agreement, each would mobilize their own private armies and fight, and the winner would become Daedaeru.

朝鮮古代の高句麗の最高官職の一つ。大対盧は6世紀中ごろに設置された。その前身の対盧は，2世紀では一品官職の相加につぐ第2等の官職名で，五部(五族･五部)の部長らが任命された。大対盧は高句麗王が任命する官職ではなく，勢力の強い者がその職についた。大対盧は貴族連合体制の頂点にたち，貴族会議を運営するとともに，国政全般を執行する職務で，その任期は3年であるが，重任することができた。しかし，貴族間の話し合いがつかないと，それぞれ私兵を動員して戦い，勝者が大対盧となった。
