Nagatoro [town] - Nagatoro
A town in Chichibu County, western Saitama Prefecture. It was formerly Nogami Town in 1972. It is located in the upper reaches of the Arakawa River, and is mostly mountainous with a small amount of lowland along the river. It is a tourist town with a developed commercial and industrial base. The Chichibu Railway runs through the town, and Nagatoro is located in the south. Area: 30.43 km2 . Population: 7,908 (2010).
