A collection of illustrated catalogs of ancient treasures compiled by Matsudaira Sadanobu. Sadanobu's penchant for antiquarianism led him to have ancient vessels, paintings, and books copied, and this collection compiles ten types of items: inscriptions on bells, monuments, weapons, bronze vessels, musical instruments, writing materials, plaques, seals, calligraphy, and paintings. It has 85 volumes and contains 1,859 items. It includes a preface written by Confucian scholar Hirose Mousai (whose real name was Nori, 1768-1829) in 1800 (Kansei 12), which is estimated to be the year of completion. It is a mixture of good and bad treasures, but it describes the title, location, and dimensions of each treasure, and includes valuable archaeological information. One version was published by the Kokusho Kankokai (1908), and the latter part, volume 32, which is the ancient painting and portrait section, was published in 1892 (Meiji 25) as a large colored fold-out book by Matsudaira Yasutami.
