…the Scythians were a nomadic race of horse riders who lived in the plains north of the Black Sea, in the region known to the Greeks as Scythia, stretching from the Carpathian Mountains in the west to the Don River in the east. They established a powerful nomadic state in this region, particularly between the 6th and 3rd centuries BCE.
