Taikomono - Taikomono

Japanese:
Taikomono - Taikomono
One of the names of Noh pieces. A general term for Noh performed in four beats with the addition of taiko drums. Compared to the kototsuzumi and ototsuzumi drums, the taiko drum gives a more vibrant and powerful impression, so there are many waki-noh and kiri-noh plays in which gods and demons appear. Depending on the piece, it may be performed as a daishomono, and there are both types of performances. Although it is called a taikomono, the taiko drum is added only in a part of the latter half of each piece. O-Komono (Daisho-mono) [Matsumoto Yo]
