...Except for Shiki Sanban (Okina), each piece is composed of one person for each instrument, but depending on the piece, there are "daishomono" (large small items) that do not include drums, and "taikomono" (taiko drums) that do. There are two ways of playing hayashi: "Awasefuki" (awasefuki, awasefuki), which is played to a clear rhythm, and "Ashirai noho" (ashirai fuki, ashirai uchi), which is played freely within a certain range without a strong sense of rhythm. Awasefuki for the flute is a playing style used only for hayashigoto, and there are three rhythmic patterns: normal beats, cross beats, and mixed beats.
