Post-Jomon pottery

Japanese: 続縄文土器 - ぞくじょうもんどき

Pottery used mainly in the Hokkaido region following the Jomon period. Satsumon pottery was established after this pottery. In the early period, pottery such as Kabuto-style, Kotoni-style, Okaribe-style, and Okotsu-style, which have small amounts of bump patterns, were distributed throughout almost the entire prefecture. Next, Esan-style pottery with sunken lines was distributed mainly in southern Hokkaido, and Zenhoku-style pottery with rope lines, bump patterns, and pasted patterns was distributed mainly in eastern and northern Hokkaido. As Gohoku-style pottery, which has developed pasted patterns, was established in central Hokkaido, regional characteristics gradually disappeared, and by the time of Gohoku _C1 -style pottery, the entire prefecture was uniform.

北海道地方を中心に，縄文時代のあとに続いて使用されていた土器。この土器の後に擦文土器が成立する。初期にはほぼ全道的に，少量ながらも突瘤文のみられる兜野式，琴似式，大狩部式，興津（おこつ）式などの土器が分布する。次いで道南を中心に沈線文のある恵山式，道東･道北地方を中心に縄線文，突瘤文，貼付文のある前北式系統の土器が分布し，さらに道央部で貼付文の発達する後北式が成立すると，次第に地域色が失われ，ほぼ後北C₁式の時期には全道的に一様となる。
