Isahaya Manor - Isahaya Manor

Japanese:
Isahaya Manor - Isahaya Manor
A manor located in Takaki County, Hizen Province. It borders Sonoki Manor, includes the eastern part of the Nagasaki Peninsula, and is considered to be the area centered on Isahaya City, including Konagai Town (present-day Isahaya City), Imori Town (present-day Isahaya City), Nagasaki City, and Nomozaki Town (present-day Nagasaki City). It appears as Isahaya Village in the Usa Daikagami, and the fields within the village, which were private property during the time of Fujinomiya, were given to Ensho, a deputy inspector (kengyo), who is thought to have been a priest at the shrine temple of Buzen Usa Jingu Shrine, and were then given to Usa Kinmichi, the chief priest, and became his private property. This is said to have happened at the end of the Heian period. In the 1292 Kawakami Shrine Construction Use Control Total Field Number Order (Kawakami Shrine Documents), the number of fields was 253 cho, and the construction fee for Hizen Ichinomiya was borne by the village. In 1247, the land stewardship of Totakemura village (real name Izakinai) and other areas in the manor was granted to Takagi Katsumaru, a local government official in Hizen Province (Kokoji documents), and in 1271, Munakata Ujiharu and Funatsu Ieshige argued over Nagano village, and the shogunate granted it to Ujiharu and Ujisato (Munakata Shrine documents). Around 1284, it was listed as the territory of Ninnaji temple in Kyoto (Fukabori documents), and in 1314, a manor official was dispatched to the area (Fukae documents). During the Nanboku-cho period, in 1338, Isshiki Doyu awarded the land stewardship of the fields in Toishimura village in the manor to Fukabori Masatsuna as a reward for his meritorious service (Fukabori documents), and in 1350, Ashikaga Tadafuyu assigned Onomura in the manor to Shiraishi Michihide (Tachibana Nakamura documents), and it seems that the manor was caught up in turmoil and lost its substance as a manor.
