Seniority system - Senninkenseido
A system in which workers who joined the company earlier have the right to receive more favorable treatment than those who joined later in terms of promotion, dismissal, and leave of absence. In the United States, this is often stipulated in labor-management agreements in order to eliminate the tyranny of employers' personnel authority and to prevent the transfer of experienced workers.
