Years of birth: Years of birth and death unknown. Imperial family and official in the Nara period. Son of Prince Toneri. Grandson of Emperor Tenmu. In 735, he was promoted from no rank to Junior Fourth Rank Lower, and in 754, he was promoted to Junior Fourth Rank Upper. He served as the inspector general of Kinai, chief of Danjodai, and Gangoji envoy for the lecture on Bonmyokyo. In 757, when Prince Doso was removed from his position as crown prince, he was recommended as one of the candidates for crown prince, but was rejected as not filial enough. In the same year, he became the Minister of Justice, and in 758, he was promoted to Junior Third Rank in Settsu Daibu and served as an envoy to Ise Grand Shrine. In 759, as he was the brother of Emperor Junnin (Prince Oi), he became a prince, was promoted to the third rank, and became the chief of Tadasudai (a change of the name of Danjodai). In 760, his five children were given the surname Minaga Masato and demoted to common status as their mother was a member of the clan of Tachibana Naramaro. After the Fujiwara no Nakamaro Rebellion (764) and Emperor Junnin was deposed, he was restored to king from his position as prince and exiled to Tosa Province (Kochi Prefecture). 生年:生没年不詳 奈良時代の皇族,官人。舎人親王の子。天武天皇の孫。天平7(735)年無位から従四位下,天平勝宝6(754)年従四位上に昇る。畿内巡察使,弾正台の長官,講梵網経の元興寺使を歴任。天平宝字1(757)年道祖王が皇太子の地位を追われると,皇太子候補のひとりに推されたが,孝行に欠けるとして退けられた。同年刑部卿となり,同2年摂津大夫従三位で,伊勢神宮への使者となる。同3年淳仁天皇(大炊王)の兄弟であるため親王となり,三品に叙せられ糺政台(弾正台の名称変更)の長官となる。同7年その子5人は母が橘奈良麻呂の一族であるので,御長真人姓を賜り臣籍に降下。藤原仲麻呂の乱(764)ののち淳仁天皇が廃されると,親王から王にもどされ土佐国(高知県)に配流。 (今泉隆雄) 出典 朝日日本歴史人物事典:(株)朝日新聞出版朝日日本歴史人物事典について 情報 |
