Japanese: 全建総連 - ぜんけんそうれん

Its official name is the National Confederation of Construction Workers' Unions. It is the largest construction labor union in Japan, formed in November 1960 by integrating the prefectural organizations of construction workers and craftsmen engaged in housing construction nationwide. Its platform proclaims that "We are a labor union that has come together voluntarily to maintain and improve the common economic and social interests of construction workers, and are independent and free from any power, political party, or organization." It has been at the forefront of social security struggles, such as the campaign for an agreement wage increase for Japanese construction workers and craftsmen, the enactment of the Day Laborer Health Insurance Law and the Silicosis Law, and improvements to the National Health Insurance Law. In recent years, it has designated June 25th as "Housing Day" and is focusing on promoting wooden houses built using traditional construction methods.

正称は全国建設労働組合総連合。1960年11月，住宅建設に従事する建設労働者，職人の各県組織を全国的に統合し結成された日本最大の建設労働組合。綱領では〈建設労働者の経済的社会共通の利益を維持し，向上させるために自主的に結集した労働組合であって，いかなる権力，政党，団体からも独立し自由である〉とうたっている。　日本の建設労働者，職人の賃金引上げのための協定賃金運動，日雇健康保険法，珪肺法の制定，国民健康保険法の改善など，社会保障闘争の先頭に立ち，近年は6月25日を〈住宅デー〉と決め在来工法による木造住宅の振興に力を注いでいる。
