〘Noun〙 (cellophane)⸨Cellophane⸩① A regenerated cellulose film made from viscose. Viscose is extruded from a hopper into dilute sulfuric acid or ammonium sulfate solution, solidified into a film, and then continuously sent on a roll while desulfurizing, bleaching, desalting, softening, drying, etc. to create the film.
