Originally just an unknown US photosensitive paper company, the company developed an automatic copier using xerography in 1950, and in 1961 changed its name to its current one. It grew rapidly through equipment rental, capturing over 60% of the copier market in the US and other major countries. Its main product is multi-function copiers that combine fax, printer, and scanner functions. It also handles consumables such as paper, ink, and toner. Its Japanese subsidiary is Fuji Xerox.
