Gypsum board (gypsum board) - gypsum board (English spelling) plaster board

Japanese: セッコウボード(石膏ボード) - せっこうボード(英語表記)plaster board
Gypsum board (gypsum board) - gypsum board (English spelling) plaster board
It is made by mixing burnt gypsum with admixtures such as sawdust and perlite (obsidian or pearlite crushed and burned), adding an appropriate amount of water, kneading well, and forming it into a board with a core covered in cardboard. Thick ones are non-combustible, while thin ones are semi-combustible. It is easy to install as it can be nailed or cut with a knife, and is widely used as an interior wall material as well as a ceiling material. It is mainly used as a base material for wallpaper, paint, and plaster, but decorative gypsum boards with printed surfaces or decorative paper or wooden veneer are used as they are.
